New Offices for DaybreakPics.com by Sunny Thomas

DaybreakPicsNewOfficeOpen.jpg

After years of working at home, Starbucks, Panera Bread, and Chick-fil-A, we now have an office we can call our own.  We're located at Edmond Photo which is at 2300 W Danforth Rd, Suite 130 in Edmond, Oklahoma.  We're near the intersection of Danforth and Santa Fe.  It's nice to have a dedicated space to work in.  At Edmond Photo, we also have access to a studio space.  So we are also excited to offer our clients the option of indoor portraits.  It's nice to have that option when the temperature is 105 outside.  We're excited to give you a tour of the place.  Come by and say hello!

Mary and Ephantus Got Married by Sunny Thomas

It was a beautiful day at Will Rogers Park in Oklahoma City.  On this Saturday in May, Mary and Ephantus were joined as one.  It was a beautiful ceremony and reception.  It was very cool to see how they incorporated their traditions throughout the day.  One that I especially liked was when all the women at the reception would go out of the building and meet the bridal party as they are walking to the reception.  The women greet the bridal party as they are singing and dancing.  Then everyone joins in the singing and dancing as they enter the reception area together.  It was a pleasure to photograph.  You can see the some of my favorite pictures in this highlight video.  Enjoy!

Photos with Santa by Sunny Thomas

This Christmas season has been a busy one for me.  A few weeks ago, I met a Santa at an event I was photographing.  He's a great guy and does a wonderful job with kids.  I've teamed up with him and another photographer to do Photos with Santa at daycare centers, schools, etc.  We're printing photos on location, so kids can immediately have a picture of their time with Santa.

If you're interested in Santa visiting your daycare or event, give us a call.  It's not too late to arrange this visit before Christmas.

Shannon and Matt Got Married - A Sneak Peek by Sunny Thomas

It's hard to believe it was only a few weeks ago when I photographed Matt and Shannon for their engagement portraits.  Yesterday, I had the privilege of photographing their wedding.  It was a beautiful day at Tres Suenos Winery and Vineyard in Luther, Oklahoma.  Matt and Shannon picked the perfect time for their wedding as well.  Early evening is a great time to take pictures.  Here are some pictures I took after the ceremony.  I'll post more soon.

Shannon and Matt - An Engagement by Sunny Thomas

Here are a few of my favorites images from Shannon and Matt's engagement portrait session. We started taking pictures in the Bricktown area of downtown Oklahoma City.  That's where Matt and Shannon went on their first date.  Then, we went over to the Myriad Botanic Gardens, which was a few blocks away.  I am so impressed with the way the city has developed the Myriad Gardens space.  It is gorgeous.  The weather was perfect and Shannon and Matt did a great job.  I can't wait to capture their wedding in a few weeks.

Justin and Nimmy Got Married! by Sunny Thomas

I love to photograph weddings.  I love to capture that special time when two lives become united as one.  For some weddings, it is not just a joining of two people, but also the joining of two families.  That was the case with Justin and Nimmy's wedding.  It was a day long celebration of two families joining together.  Here are some favorite images from the day.  The wedding ceremony was a First Church in downtown Oklahoma City and the reception was at Tower Hotel also in Oklahoma City.

Newborn Portrait Session - Hello Colton by Sunny Thomas

I always enjoy newborn portrait sessions.  I don't know why that is.  It's probably because I get to hold tiny little people that are only a few days old.  When doing a newborn session, I like to add props or pieces of clothing that hold a special meaning to the parents.  For Colton, for one of his pictures, we put on a blue knit hat.  That hat just happened to be the same one Colton's dad wore when he was a newborn.  How cool is that!  I love that!  It turned out to be one of my favorite pictures too.
